The most asked beauty question of 2018 is not a surprising one

Sometimes, we have to Google stuff.

We believe it's because we went around with blue eyeshadow and ridiculously dreadful smokey eyes when we were teens because there was no easy access to the Internet. So we just winged it and now cringe at all the photos from our early teen days. However, now it seems like 12-year-olds have better makeup skills than us and that may be down to the world wide web. Winging it has gone out the window and instead there's step-by-step tutorials and Youtube videos giving you the ins and outs of every makeup routine imaginable. We ourselves now thank the Internet for teaching us the ways of skilled makeup artists, and it shows in what we've Googled over the past year. The most Googled beauty questions of 2018 was *drumroll*... "How to apply magnetic lashes." We have to say, it was the beauty trend that took off, and the promptly flopped this year. We all thought it would be so easy, but magnetic lashes ended up being a bit weird and they were very tricky to apply. Other questions we asked were "what concealer to use?", "how to fix cakey makeup," and "how to do a cat eye."
