There’s a low-calorie chocolate that PREVENTS wrinkles (scientists, we salute you)

Katie Mythen-Lynch

A British scientist has invented a chocolate that helps prevent wrinkles.

Yes, you are reading that correctly.

Esthechocs is a new skin-boosting confectionery that reduces skin inflammation and improves oxygen circulation. Its makers claim that a 7.5g, 38 calorie piece eaten every day will produce improvements in skin quality in just three weeks.

Invented by former Cambridge University scientist Dr Ivan Petyaev, the idea is the result of 10 years of extensive independent research on cocoa polyphenols and free radicals, as well as clinical exploration and numerous trials.

Just 7.5g of the chocolate contains the same amount of the antioxidant astaxanthin as a fillet of Alaskan salmon.

At more than €47 per box of 21 chocolates, this kind of beauty comes at a price, but they’re designed to be taken as a daily beauty supplement (so no scoffing them all on a Friday night.)

Esthechoc is currently available in Harrods of London and is expected to be available online across Europe soon.
