Green juice recipes are a handy way to get more nutrients into the whole family’s diet. (And a GREAT way to sneak veggies into the mouths of picky eaters.)
Here are three kid-friendly green smoothie recipes that are packed with good stuff. Just whizz the ingredients up in a blender, serve and enjoy the smugness.
1. Alien juice

You will need:
- 1 cup of kale
- 1 large sweet apple, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cucumber, peeled and roughly chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 small head of romaine lettuce
- 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil
- Maple syrup, to taste (about 1/2 teaspoon)
- 5 ice cubes
- 1 cup of water
2. Leprechaun smoothies

You will need:
- 3 cups of tropical fruit such as pineapple and/or mango
- 2 bananas
- 2 cups of orange juice
- 2 cups of baby spinach
3. Green and glowing
You will need:
- 1/2 cup of almond or coconut milk
- 1 cup of pineapple pieces
- 1 cup of mango chunks
- 1 big handful of baby spinach
- Couple of ice cubes
