3 nutritious green juices that kids will LOVE

Green juice recipes are a handy way to get more nutrients into the whole family’s diet. (And a GREAT way to sneak veggies into the mouths of picky eaters.)

Here are three kid-friendly green smoothie recipes that are packed with good stuff. Just whizz the ingredients up in a blender, serve and enjoy the smugness.

 

1. Alien juice

You will need:

  • 1 cup of kale
  • 1 large sweet apple, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled and roughly chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 small head of romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • Maple syrup, to taste (about 1/2 teaspoon)
  • 5 ice cubes
  • 1 cup of water

 

2. Leprechaun smoothies

You will need:

  • 3 cups of tropical fruit such as pineapple and/or mango
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 cups of orange juice
  • 2 cups of baby spinach

 

3. Green and glowing

  • 1/2 cup of almond or coconut milk
  • 1 cup of pineapple pieces
  • 1 cup of mango chunks
  • 1 big handful of baby spinach
  • Couple of ice cubes
