We here are big fans of Baileys so we’re always very excited by the prospect of it being combined with pretty much anything.
You might associate it with autumn or wintertime but there’s a new product putting a distinctly summery spin on the classic Irish cream liquer.
Say hello to the Baileys ice-cream sandwich.
It’s two soft chocolate biscuits on either side of some ice-cream that’s been infused with the Baileys flavour we all love.
Yes, it’s basically (but not quite) the Iceberger you grew up with – plus Baileys. Amazing, we know.
Sadly, there’s a fairly cruel catch.
Baileys may be an Irish drink but these Baileys ice cream sandwiches appear to only be available in Aldi in Australia for the time being.
Either you’ll have to take a trip down under or you’ll have to DIY your own.
It’s not as hard as you’d imagine. You could obviously make your own ice-cream from scratch (see the clip above) or just mix some Baileys into a tub of plain vanilla or chocolate chip ice-cream and refreeze it.
Then pop a scoop of it between two giant cookies and you’re good to go! Like, obviously it won’t be the same as the real thing but for the moment we’ll have to make do.
