Booze and Cake Had a Baby… And It’s GLORIOUS

Trine Jensen-Burke

If you are a true Pinterest addict (like us), you might have come across these already, but just in case you have not: Poke cakes are here, and they are about to change your whole goddamn life!

What is a poke cake, we hear you ask.

Well, true to its name, a poke cake is simply a cake that you poke holes in after baking. An action that might seem a little weird until you realize that you get to fill the little holes with all sorts of amazing things. Like alcohol, for instance.

Meaning, essentially, that you are infusing that yummy sponge with flavours of Baileys, Kahlua, Bourbon or even gin(!).

Holy Moly. We literally want to spend the rest of our lives eating yummy, alcohol-soaked poke cakes.

Starting, without a doubt, with these glorious four:

1. Bailey’s And Coffee Poke Cake

There is something so double delicious about coffee and Bailey’s when you combine them. And now try to pour all that goodness straight into an actual cake.

You’re welcome.
