With a little bit of careful planning however, you can make sure your low-cal concoctions are as tasty as they are healthy, meaning you’ll find it easier to follow a plan for longer and achieve real results.
Flavour is key and this creamy dressing is about as flavoursome as they come.
The invention of Teffy at Sprinkle of Green, it’s also packed with amazing health benefits: firstly it contains cayenne pepper, which has been proven to boost metabolism and improve circulation. Secondly, there’s the legendary avocado, packed with healthy fats, potassium, fibre and antioxidants and lastly there’s the coriander, a herb that can alleviate skin inflammation, reduce high cholesterol and improve your digestion, to name but a few benefits.
Mix up a batch and store it in a jar in the fridge, ready to drizzle over every meal or use as a dip for snacking.
- Half a ripe avocado
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 cup water
- Handful coriander
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Juice of half a lime
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Scoop out the flesh from the avocado (without the skin and pip, of course) into a blender. Add all of your other ingredients and blitz.
- Depending on your blender you might want to scrape the sides. If yours is still not runny enough to fall off a spoon, simply add more water.
- Add to a jar and store in the fridge.
