Form an orderly queue…
A few months back we learnt about Skinny Prosecco – possibly the best news about alcohol in a long time.
Some genius, Amanda Thompson, came up with a way for us to enjoy a glass or two (or three, let’s be realistic) of the bubbly drink without overdoing our calorie intake.
With 67 calories per 100 ml, it has less than half the sugar content in a traditional glass.

While we were delighted when we first heard about this special drink back in April, there was one downside, it was only available in the UK so wasn’t much good to us. But now, it has finally come to Ireland, thanks to Wines Of The World.
The product is organic and suitable for vegans. It’s described as, “light and refreshing with floral and apple aromas on the nose. The palate is fresh, lively, and fruity with great acidity and notes of green apple, golden apple, honeydew melon, and pear.”
Speaking about the drink, Amanda Thompson said:
“We’re all obsessed with the new war on sugar.
“I was raised on a sugar-free diet by my mother and now 40 years later, it’s finally being recognised as the way forward for many like me who want to avoid the deadly granules.
“With Prosecco now dominating the market, Skinny Prosecco will be a brand that I’m confident that everyone will look for on the shelves and on their wine lists this year.”
You can buy it here through Wines of the World’s website, but you must make a minimum purchase of 6 bottles, but they will throw in free delivery to your door within 24-48 hours.
