These are all the Lidl stores that are open in Ireland right now

Time to stock up

Olivia Hayes

If you’re stuck for a few supplies, we feel you.

Just about every supermarket in Ireland closed its doors yesterday as Storm Emma reigned on… and by now we need to stock up on a few essentials.

Well, Lidl has just announced which of it’s stores are open right now (and thank the Lord).

Taking to Facebook, the supermarket said: “As some areas have had less severe snowfalls and ice our regional management teams are currently assessing which stores will safely be able to open today and these will be listed below as and when we receive the information.

“If a store is not mentioned then it will not reopen until 8am Saturday morning.

“Stores that are open or planned opening time (we will update this list throughout the day as more stores open):

Bundoran (12pm)
Ballybofey (12pm)
Both Dundalk stores (12pm)
Ardee (12pm)
Ballina – Bury St (12pm)
Ballina – Bohernasup (12.30pm)
Westport (1pm)

They asked customers to stay patient as the bad weather carries on: “We ask customers for patience with our store teams who will have just resumed normal operations and where stock levels may be low in some areas. We will get those bakery ovens on as soon as we can.”

Other stores, such as Supervalu, Tesco and Dunnes have also released an updated timeline on when they’ll be open.

At the time of writing, the below times are accurate but of course, this is subject to change.

SuperValu

Customers are urged to check with their local branch before travelling as conditions vary across the country.

Aldi

At the time of writing, Aldi is due to open at 5 pm today and if things change, this will be communicated.

Tesco

Tesco stores remain closed today and will reopen tomorrow, Saturday 3 March.

Dunnes

The same goes for Dunnes, also due to reopen tomorrow. Originally, it was thought that stores in Northern Ireland would open at 1 pm but it’s now been confirmed that all Dunnes outlets will remain closed until tomorrow.

Marks and Spencer

The only store opening today is in Letterkenny, all others will be back in action tomorrow.
