We’ve all been there: the potatoes are boiling away on the stove and we turn around for a second only to hear the sound of the water gushing over the side and going everywhere.
But that sound could become a thing of the past thanks to one man’s cooking hack.
It might seem like a lot of effort but Imgur user @boxbatter sets up a device beside his broth and then FaceTimes it so that he can keep an eye on it whilst in other rooms of the house.
That means that when he sees it nearing the edge of the pot, he can return to the kitchen and turn the heat down.
Simple but brilliant.
