Not good news.
Don’t get us wrong, when we order a Starbucks Toffee Nut latte, we know it’s not a healthy choice… but the actual amount of calories in festive drinks is a little bit shocking.
And while the fun comes from getting that little coffee kick with a bit of sweetness on the side, we might do a double take the next time we walk into Costa Coffee.
UK based company, Wren Kitchens, has looked into our favourite festive drinks from Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Caffe Nero to find which ones have the most calories and fat content.
And while Starbucks always gets a bad wrap for being the sweetest, it’s actually not the worst.
Coming in with the highest amount of calories is Costa Coffee’s Billionaire’s hot chocolate with 660 cals.
Next on the high list is Costa’s mint hot chocolate with 556 calories.
Starbuck’s Toffee Nut latte comes in with 416 cals, while Caffe Nero seems to be the healthiest of the bunch as its Gingerbread latte only has 229 cals in a regular cup.
Here’s the full breakdown:
We love our festive drinks so much, but it looks like we’re going to have to cut down a little.
