Revealed… Ireland’s favourite biscuit

HerFamily

The nation’s favourite biscuit has been revealed and we can’t argue with the findings… or maybe we can and should taste all of the biscuits to clarify if the results are fair! Yea, we’ll do that.

A survey, conducted by dunnhumby, has found out which treats the Irish love best by analysing the top selling biscuits in Tesco stores across the country over the past 52 weeks.

The Milk Chocolate Digestive came out top (it is a gem of a biscuit to be fair), followed by Chocolate Chip Cookies and the classic Kit Kat. So basically, everyone in Ireland loves chocolate.

Oreo (the vanilla variety – controversial!) and the yellow Cadbury Snack finished off the top five.

The traditional Digestive Biscuit, Tesco Value Digestives and Rich Tea also ranked in the top ten, as did Bourbon Creams and Jacobs Mikado (can’t say we’re fans of these two – not chocolatey enough for our liking).

Anyone else dying for a cuppa and a packet of biscuits now?… Did we say packet? We obviously meant just two or three.

*Reaches for the entire packet.*
