That's okay though. Does anyone really start their Christmas planning until after the toy show anyway? Sure we wouldn't know what overly elaborate toys to definitely NOT put under the Christmas tree.

Though we have to admit we do love the Toy Show. I'm mean, it's an age-old Christmas tradition! The whole family gathering round to watch the Toy Show presenter awkwardly interacting with all the over-excited kids (we must say that Ryan Tubridy's Christmas jumpers are a welcome inclusion).
For most people, the Toy Show is planned well in advance - friends are invited over, the tv is booked for the night in houses that have anti-Toy Show members (the Irish Grinch), and snacks are bought to munch on during the show (the kids need that little bit of extra sugar to stay up for the whole thing).
We love preparing for the show by baking something tasty beforehand. Even better if you can get the kids involved (gives them something to do during the evening before it starts too).
