Ireland's attitude towards cosmetic procedures is changing, with almost half of respondents in a new survey admitting they would happily try Botox and fillers to stall the ageing process.
The research, conducted by MRNI research on behalf of
Therapie Clinic, revealed that 47 per cent of people would consider using the wrinkle-reducing jab to banish crow's feet and forehead creases, with six in ten people worried about the effects of ageing on their face as they grow older.
More than half of those surveyed said they admire the results achieved by celebrities using various non-surgical procedures, but most remain a little dubious, with 39 per cent saying they weren't certain that they would achieve the same youthful results if they tried it themselves.
Perhaps that's why 35 per cent of respondents would be more comfortable trying Botox or fillers if a friends or family member had tried it first.
It seems we're still a secretive bunch when it comes to wrinkle reduction however, with 70 per cent of respondents admitting they wouldn't seek their partner's opinion before making an appointment.
