So glitter beards are a thing this Christmas and we’re kind of thrilled about it.

The sparkly facial hair phenomenon is the genius work of The Gay Beards, two best friends from Portland, Oregon, whose video ‘How to Glitter Beard’ proved an instant hit on Youtube.

Despite Esquire labeling the trend ‘a menace to civilized society’, the fantastical fun caught on, with a festival of fabulous (and extremely party-friendly) #glitterbeards popping up on Instagram…
