This Bracelet Is Designed To Stop You Overspending

HerFamily

I don’t know about you but I feel like the world is getting to a stage where we will soon have an app or a device for everything.

Just a few days ago, we came across the ‘Smart Tampon’ which is designed to tell you when yours is almost at capacity.

And now we’re reading about a bracelet that apparently shocks you when you overspend.

The invention, created by Maneesh Sethi and produced by Pavlok, basically tells you when you’ve gone over your budget.

It does this by sending out 255 volts when your bank account drops below a certain amount or you surpass a pre-determined total.

The bracelet was originally designed to help people quit bad habits including smoking and nail-biting.

If it sounds like something you need in your life, you might like to know that it will set you back £120 (just over €150) – in which case, it might shock you as soon as you put it on!

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission recommends the following tips for general saving:

  • Cancel unwanted services
  • Use the cheapest method of payment
  • Research online
  • Take a note of expenses
  • Cut back on non-essential items
  • Consider downsizing
  • Double check your tax relief benefits
