The haircare product Suzanne Jackson uses to tame her new haircut

Laura Holland

Suzanne Jackson has been showing off her new haircut ever since she went for the shorter look a few months back.

What she now calls the ‘Sue Chop’, has seen a spike in shorter haircuts among her fans as a result. We can see why, it’s more manageable, gives better volume while still being equally as stylish.

The cut also suits most face shapes and hair colour.

But, with a shorter look comes more maintenance. You have to get used to the perfect way to blow dry it without losing the volume at the top and throughout.

Thankfully, Suzanne has shared one of her favourite products for keeping her tresses under control. It’s a serum from AlfaParf called Semi di Lino.

Interestingly, it’s the one haircare product I personally swear by. I have been using for as long as I can remember, after first borrowing it from my mum.

The serum is light wearing but gives high gloss and a sleek finish to the hair. You can either use it when your hair is wet or after you dry your hair. Either way, it will work amazingly well.

Be warned, though, you only need a few drops so use sparingly, and don’t put it near the root of your hair as it can be quite heavy and make your hair greasy.

Squirt one or two pumps of the serum onto your hand, rub your hands together and then run your hands through the ends of your hair distributing the serum equally throughout the ends.

Alfa Parf products are available from select hairdressers nationwide and they also offer shampoos and conditioners to make the serum.
