2. Do YOU.
Growing a human is tiring business but don't forget you are still YOU, so stick to your usual style albeit with a little extra fabric to the front. I almost never wear clingy clothes so I stuck to my more roomy style while pregnant. Similarly, if you love that feminine body curve look, bring out that slinky number. Don't forget these are the pictures that will probably be framed on your friends sitting room walls for years to come. You want to still look like YOU.
We love this one from ASOS that is pretty with just the right amount of sexy and it won't break the bank at €73
3. Long sleeves
Often we can be very self-conscious when it comes to the extra 'pinch' that can arrive along with the baby bump. To combat this we suggest looking for a dress that has long sleeves. I felt demure instead of dour in one I bought for an outbreak of weddings while pregnant and never looked back. I still congratulate myself on hiding my thick arms whenever I see the pictures.
I am in love with this elaborate tunic beauty. Basically, you could put anything embroidered in front of me at the moment and I would just empty my wallet instantly.
So in a nutshell: Stripes are good - especially if you bump is a little on the mini side as it will emphasise the fact that you are, in fact, pregnant and not just really into donuts-eating competitions.
Accessorise well - fancy bags, pow! earrings and statement shoes will always fit.
Maxi-dresses are your friend and empire lines should never be underestimated. And finally invest in fancy flats.
At the end of the day - you are signing up for a day of eating while looking fab - what's not to love about weddings while pregnant!Explore more on these topics:
