Here’s what happened when a grown man dressed like Prince George

Sive O'Brien

He’s been named the 49th best dressed man in Britain by GQ Magazine, and dubbed “the world’s most influential toddler” by Forbes Magazine. At two years old, Prince George is already riding high in the style stakes.

In fact, much like his mother, every garment he wears is almost guaranteed to sell out within days of it being sighted and snapped. But this is probably the first time a grown man has attempted to steal The Royal Toddler’s style.

Journalist Max Knoblauch decided to emulate the young Prince’s look by stepping into (larger versions of) his shoes and rompers for one week.

Taking part in the experiment for Mashable he said, “The first challenge would be finding the clothes in a men’s large. The second challenge would be not being arrested.”

The 23-year-old matched the toddler’s outfits as closely as possible, but the obvious lack of man-sized toddler clothes meant Max had to make some customisations of his own – sewing sailboats and royal guards onto adult clothes.

After recording his week in a diary, Max says he believes there may be more that draws fans to George than just his fashion. “While I got plenty of puzzled looks on my journey, New Yorkers seemed generally pretty uninterested in my project,” he said.

After taking a look at his outfits, a few of which you can see below, we think it’s fairly obvious who wore it better…
