We're not the only ones who were surprised by the video.
One user wrote: "Most people do not wear different pyjamas every single night, to be honest. I ain't about to waste time and money on laundry when all I do is sleep in them for a few hours."
"This explains why I feel like I do more washing than 90% of people. Clean pjs every night. I thought everyone did," another said.
"I'm with you on this. Shocked and scared at how many people admit to not changing them for a week," said another.
An expert has confirmed how often we should change our pyjamas so before you start doing extra loads of laundry, read on.
They told RealSimple: "Unless you spill a midnight snack on them, sweat heavily, or wear them all day long, pyjamas can usually be worn a few nights in a row before they need to be washed."
"If you wear your pajamas to bed and change out of them in the morning, you can probably get away with a couple of wears before naturally occurring body oils, perspiration, and bacteria begin to build up in the fabric, all of which can lead to odor.
"It's worth noting that if you’re wearing them all day, you’ll want to wash them after each wear.”
We're now considering topping up on our pyjama collection on our next trip to Penneys.Explore more on these topics:
