How To: DIY a designer action figure lamp for your child’s bedroom

This project looks a million bucks but costs just a few Euro

Katie Mythen-Lynch

Ever wondered if there was a better way to reuse your children’s action figures when they’re finished playing with them?

While most hard toys can be donated, some of the cooler ones (Spiderman, Batman, Buzz Lightyear et al) would make the perfect addition to this incredible DIY superhero lamp.

This brilliant Instructables tutorial breaks down the process:

First you superglue your action figures to the base of an old (working) lamp.

Once the glue has set, spray the entire thing with primer and allow to dry outdoors or in a place where plenty of air can circulate.

Finally, cover your lamp in a layer or two of metallic spray paint. Gold is used here but you could experiment with silver, pewter or bronze.
