Kate Middleton’s new runners are from M&S and you can pick them up for €42

You can now have the exact same runners as Kate Middleton, if you so wish.

Yes,  the Duchess of Cambridge really is a high-street fashion fan and proved so today when she stepped out in these rainbow-striped M&S trainers. They're the Ribbon Detail Lace-Up Trainers and they're priced at €42. Kate's Closet is a Twitter account dedicated to outfits worn by Kate Middleton, usually identifying where they're from and a link to the  trainers was shared earlier today.

The Duchess paired them with a pair of Zara culottes and a jumper in a similar forest green shade for today's official royal appearance. As is the norm with 'The Kate Effect', the runners are likely to be sold out before long - you have been warned. Kate was out and about for the Sports Aid event held at the London Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford. The runners were soon put to the test as she was set a sprint challenge along para-athlete sprinter Emmanuel Oyinbo-Coker and Olympic gold medallist Jessica Ennis. The Duchess has been Patron of Sports Aid since 2013, helping sportsmen and women aspiring to be the country's next Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth and World Champions.
