Meet the ‘Wolf Cut’ – the summer 2021 hair trend that suits literally EVERYONE

TikTok – and Gen Z – is obsessed.

And we might just be too. The Wolf Cut is the latest hair cut trend to sweep the globe thanks to the influence of social media – with Pinterest alone reporting a whopping 75 percent increase in the search term over the past couple of months. As the name suggests, this haircut is a little bit on the 'wild' side, and sort of a mash up of a shag cut and mullet (for those of us old enough to remember these). And it seems people are loving it – with the hashtag #wolfcut racking up thousands of posts on TikTok and Instagram.

In fact, it looks like the Wolf Cut is set to dominate summer 2021, and it's easy to see why. This cut has got tons of attitude – but be prepared to invest in some styling products too, as texture is key here.

What to ask for Having clicked my way through hundreds of social media images, it seems the key to the Wolf Cut is plenty of shorter mullet-style layers at the front, the chunkier the better – for texture. As for the sides, more weight is left in for extra volume, and these lengths then taper off to feathery strands at the ends of the hair. Like this:
