OK, we’re not too sure about Kate’s tweed midi-dress (but her Jimmy Choos are FAB)

She was out 'n' about in London.

There is no doubt that Duchess Kate is a serious style queen.

However, proving that even princesses have off-days, we have to say we’re not too sure about her latest attire.

Stepping out on Wednesday evening in central London at the Victoria & Albert Museum, the 36-year-old wore an Erdem dress.

The gúna was tweed, fringed, and midi with a fit-and-flag finish… and we’re going out on a limb here to say that’s it’s not something we’d wear ourselves.

The item is from Erdem’s SS18 collection but it’s now – no surprise! – sold out.

However, not only did Kate still look totally fab (as always) – her accessories were seriously gorge too.

The mum-of-three opted for Jimmy Choo stilettos and clutch, along with earrings also from Erdem.

The V&A is located close to the Cambridge family’s Kensington Palace home.  Kate is a patron there and on Wednesday was in attendance to preview of some of the 800,000 images housed in the new Photography Centre.

The former Ms Middleton studied Art History at St Andrew’s University in Scotland – so we reckon she knows her stuff too.

Tristram Hunt, Director of the V&A, said in a statement, ‘Our collection – established by the V&A’s visionary first director Henry Cole – now seamlessly spans the entire history of photography, telling the story of the medium from the daguerreotype to the digital.’
