Salad and shopping in one spot? Eh, yes please…

Katie Mythen-Lynch

One of our favourite suppliers of cool kitchen ware, gifts and mind-blowing candles, Industry is now serving up fresh food too.

The Drury Street design mecca’s in-house menu starts with brekkie (8.30am) and signature dishes such as homemade breakfast Bircher Muesli (with oats soaked overnight in apple juice and spices, topped with Greek yogurt – divine) and granola is baked with coconut oil and grade A maple syrup.

There’s also a bespoke hot chocolate worth ditching any diet for, while coffee is sourced from Dublin-based Roasted Brown and tea from Wall and Keogh,
Colourful, tasty and healthy is the order of the day for lunch with salad from €7.50 to €13.50 for a large salad with rare chargrilled marinated steak.

Explaining the menu’s distinct Middle Eastern Influence, Marcus Mac Innes, MD, Industry and Co. told us:

“My wife Kadija was born in Paris but is of Moroccan descent and we have always enjoyed using a hint of authentic North African and Middle Eastern flavours that work so well with the wealth of great Irish ingredients we have on offer. You can inject such interesting colours, flavours and textures into simple healthy food using the right combination of fresh herbs, spices and a touch of creativity.”

Sublime salads with a side of shopping? We’re in.
