Ideal for when you’ve overslept; or when you’re trying to preserve yesterday’s pricey blow-dry; or when you’ve got a wine hangover, a quick spritz and a brush-through can save you a world of styling pain.

According to Herbal Essences Ambassador and celeb stylist Ben Cooke, there’s a knack to getting the best out of your dry shampoo: “My top tip is to spray a little at a time and gradually build up – less is definitely more. Shake the bottle really well, then spray directly onto the roots. Allow the formula to absorb and then massage through with your fingertips. Finally, brush out as desired,”
