This wedding dress is far from traditional but it’s so pretty

Your wedding dress is probably the most important thing you’ll ever wear in your entire lifetime. So it’s not surprising that most take months looking for their dream gown and celebrities keep the details of theirs under wraps. Whitney Port kept quiet about hers but the pay-off was certainly worth it as the first pictures of it emerged yesterday. The fashion designer, who rose to fame in reality show The Hills, shared a photograph of her (rather unconventional) dress on her Instagram account this week. She captioned it: “Still floating thanks to@bkevents !! Check out @usweekly on newsstands now for full spread!”

While we reckon the custom-made gown will divide opinion, Whitney’s other half Tim Rosenman certainly appreciated it on their special day, which took place in California last weekend. He told Us Weekly: “There was so much build-up to what her dress was going to look like because we kept it secret. “I didn’t think it could possibly match the build-up, but I was blown away. She looked fantastic.” Aww, how sweet!
