We really need this Primark coat to land in Irish stores for those freezing school runs

As Met Eireann report temperatures are to remain low until Sunday, you might need to wrap up in a new Penneys coat.

I think we can all agree that this year is flying. It feels like we were only packing the suitcases for the summer holidays and suddenly we’re putting the clocks back an hour and the evenings are getting much shorter.

With temperatures plummeting and set to remain low until Sunday, we’ll need to pull a seriously cosy coat out to tackle the freezing mornings at the school gate.

If you’re not into parkas and you’re flimsy leather jacket won’t cut it in the cold, this aviator style jacket with faux fur lining could be a winner for you. It’s a stunning pale grey shade with darker faux fur and zip pocket detailing.

It’s also a reasonable price at €40.

It also comes in a men’s black version, if any male family members or friends are in the market for some new outerwear.

Whilst we’re not sure yet if this gem will land in Irish Penneys stores, we have our fingers crossed and have found some backups if it doesn’t. They both come in at €40.

This black aviator with cream faux fur lining looks like it would keep us snug. However, we’re in love with this burnt orange number that looks way more expensive than it’s price tag.

We think it would be gorgeous with some leather look trousers, black ankle boots and a nice grey knit. The great thing about this piece is that it makes a statement on its own, so you can build an outfit around it and even if it’s a basic one, the coat adds a bit of interest and looks as if you’ve made a lot more effort than you have.

With temperatures set to remain low until Sunday, we think a mid-week trip to Penneys is on the cards.
