It will make you want to go home, throw out everything you own and start from scratch.
Last week, UK interior and lifestyle brand, The White Company, opened the doors to their first ever Irish flagship store in Dublin, where they have taken up 800sqm over three floors in a beautiful buidling smack in the middle of Grafton Street.
Back in 1994, founder Chrissie Rucker started The White Company when she couldn’t find well-designed, quality bed linen in her favourite colour, so decided to invest her £6,000 (€5,150) savings into producing everything in one colour – white.
That was then. And now? Now what started as a 12-page mail order catalogue turns over close to €155 millions a year, and has 57 stores in the UK, two in the US, a discount store at the Kildare Village Outlet Mall and now also a flagship store on Dublin’s most expensive and famous shopping street.
Speaking of their new home in Ireland, Sarah King, the director of property for The White Company, explains: “The White Company has been looking for a Dublin flagship for some time, and the Grafton Street opportunity is perfect for us as a luxury lifestyle retailer. Our new store will allow us to deliver a calming and full sensory experience that pushes boundaries, creating an outstanding retail journey for our customers who are at the heart of our brand.”
The gigantic new store now houses the full lifestyle offer, which includes luxurious bedding and bath linen, chic home accessories, an award-winning skincare range, bespoke home fragrances and stylish clothing, loungewear and accessories.
As well as thish, you will also find ‘The Little White Company’ clothing for children and nursery essentials.
Dreaming of giving your home a bit of an upgrade? Lover of all things neutral? Or simply just want to visit a store so beautiful you’ll be inspired to change your entire house up? Well, then you know where to go the next time you’re in Dublin.
The White Company is located at 72. Grafton Street.
