Saoirse Ruane’s family has issued an update amid her cancer treatment.

The Toy Show star was diagnosed with a recurrent tumour earlier this year but has been undergoing treatment at Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

Saoirse’s mum confirmed she is now continuing her treatment at their home in Galway.

Alongside a photo of her daughter, Roseanna gave an update on how Saoirse has been doing as she continues cancer treatment.

“A lot of you asking for an update on Saoirse…

“Saoire’s continuing treatment at home and is tolerating it well which is all we could hope for,” her mum wrote.

She continued, “She has up and down days, some harder than others but she never complains!”

“If anything she apologises when feeling unwell when she has nothing to apologise for. She has the kindest soul,” she said.

Her mum added, “Life isn’t easy but every day you get a chance to make a difference.

“Be thankful for what you already have and work hard for the things you want because every breath you take is a blessing,” she added.

Saoirse was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of 7. She was diagnosed again at the age of 10 when doctors found a tumour in her lung.

Doctors then found a recurrent tumour when she was 11 years old.

The Toy Show star has been praised time and time again for being so strong and so positive during such a harrowing time.
