Met Éireann has issued a status yellow wind and rain warning for the entire country starting on Wednesday.

The status yellow warning is in place from 4 am on Wednesday until 9 pm Wednesday evening.

Wednesday is set to be very windy with heavy and thundery rain heading eastwards in the morning with localised flooding.
The wind is set to become more severe and potentially disruptive, especially on the west coast, by Wednesday.
The weather is then set to stay stormy during the afternoon as the rain clears into the Irish Sea but heavy thundery showers will follow from the west.
Temperatures are set to be between 10 and 14 degrees with strong or gale force southerly winds, veering southwest to west in direction.
Thursday will see sunny spells and showers with some being heavy and prolonged, with the longest dry and sunny periods expected in the east of the country.
Temperatures are to be between 9 to 12 degrees with gusty southwest winds, veering northwest later in the day.
