Ify told Today.com that she was severely bullied in school, and the experience inspired her to start the plus-sized clothing line.
"I was bullied and they called me all kinds of names," she says. "One time I got stabbed with a pencil."Rather than suffering the label of 'victim', Ify borrowed her grandmother's sewing machine which she used to practice making clothes for her dolls, before turning her hand to clothing for girls and women of all sizes.
While we hate that this gorgeous girl was bullied at all, we are so glad that she saw to work through to the other side and show off her fabulous talents to the world.
"I turned negative attention into positive attention," she says. What an inspiration! Join the conversation on Twitter @HerFamilyDotie (Feature pic via NBC)
