14-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of a terror offence

A 14-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of a terror offence has now been released on bail.

London-based police believe the teenager was assisting someone planning to carry out an act of terror. She was taken to an address in South London and questioned by officers from the Counter Terrorism Command division of the Metropolitan Police. The girl was released on bail today and is due to return to a police station in December.
