17-year-old girl dies in car accident in Co. Meath

The crash occurred in the Pelletstown area in Drumree.

A 17-year-old girl has been killed in a car accident in Co. Meath.

Two other people were injured in the incident.

A man in his 20s was taken to Beaumont Hospital in a serious condition. A teenage boy was transported to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

The young girl was pronounced dead at 4.40 pm on August 5.

The crash occurred in the Pelletstown area in Drumree.

Her body was removed from the scene and taken to Our Lady’s Hospital Navan. A post-mortem will be conducted as part of the investigation.

Gardaí has urged anyone with information to come forward, especially those with dashcam footage.
