A 21-year-old J1 student is fighting for his life after attack in San Diego

An Irish student is said to be fighting for his life after a brutal attack in San Diego, California.

The 21-year-old is on the J1 program during his summer break from college. According to The Sun, he was out celebrating his birthday with his friends the night the attack took place.

He was found unconscious in an alleyway near Pacific Beach after being badly beaten up. It’s not known, at this point, what happened.

He is currently in hospital where he is in a critical condition. The attack left him with several injuries, including broken bones on his face.

A source said:

“The student was found by police in an alleyway in Pacific Beach.

He was taken to Scripps La Jolla Hospital in San Diego where he is in an induced coma.

What happened was is truly awful. He was left for dead.”
