A 22-year-old woman died only a matter of weeks after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.

According to The Daily Gazette, makeup artist Demi Wright went to the doctors in November 2015 after experiencing pain in her side.

She was admitted to a maternity ward as her body was producing the hormones traditionally associated with pregnancy.

However doctors soon discovered that she wasn’t pregnant. They actually found a large tumour (responsible for the hormones) and diagnosed her with terminal adenocarcinoma.

She was then admitted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge but sadly passed away three weeks later (on February 23rd).

Her family has set up a ‘GoFundMe’ page in her memory to raise money for Cancer Research UK and are understandably devastated by their loss.

Demi’s father Chris told The Daily Gazette: “She didn’t have a bad bone in her body. She had an infectious, beautiful smile and it showed her personality off.

“It’s been devastating. When we found out it was terminal, she lifted herself up, she patted the bed and said, ‘dad, come and sit here’.

“She gave me a big hug and said, ‘it’s going to be okay’. The next day, she passed away.”
