2FM’s Louise McSharry announces she’s expecting her second child

Congratulations to Louise McSharry, who's pregnant with her second child.

Louise last night shared the news that she and her husband Gordon Spierin are set to become parents for the second time next year. Posting an image of Gordon and their son Sam to Instagram, she wrote; "Delighted to say that these two and I are going to be welcoming a new family member in 2019. "(A baby. I’m having another baby. Just in case you thought I meant a dog or something.)" Louise, who suffered with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2014, was told that the chemotherapy treatment she underwent to treat the disease meant she could have trouble getting pregnant. "The treatment which had saved my life had also decimated my egg count," she previously said. "Where I should have been at 35 or 40 on the scale of being able to conceive, I was a two. I was a two, and I was pissed off." Luckily, the couple were able to have a baby and welcomed their now two-year-old son Sam in 2016. "We made a decision that we’re not going to stress about whether or not it happens again," Louise has said. "If we decide to try again, we’ll try again."
