35 Junior Cert results are being withheld over cheating suspicions.

20 students who sat the exam this year will not receive their results at all with the remaining 15 students’ results still under investigation by the State Examinations Commission.

62,562 students across the country sat the Junior Cert this year.

The Irish Mirror reports that 35 results being withheld is an increase on the number not given back in 2017. Last year, just 11 students had their results withheld.

This comes after 80 Leaving Cert results were withheld from students earlier this year over cheating suspicions.

43 results were permanently withheld with 37 being investigated further before being returned to the students in question.
