According to the results of Maximum Media’s A Slice of Ireland survey of more than 20,0000 Irish people, 37% of you admitted to accessing television shows and matches illegally.
The findings support previous studies, which showed one in five Irish people now rely on illegal downloads for entertainment, despite the popularity of streaming services such as Netflix, which had grown its Irish customer base to more than 175,000 at last count.
The survey also revealed that almost half of you (49 per cent) spend between two and four hours per day online. More than 90 per cent of HerFamily.ie readers use Facebook, making it the top social network among our readers with Twitter and Instagram taking second and third place. The majority of social media fans check their accounts every two or three hours with 90 per cent accessing their accounts on a smartphone.
