The incident happened at 12.45 pm.
A mum has been left horrified after her 4-year-old boy was snatched in broad daylight.
The mum and her son were walking outside some shops in Liverpool when the attempted kidnapping took place.
She told police that a man approached the boy outside a shop before snatching him.
The man then carried the young boy across the road.
The incident took place on Walton Vale Road in Liverpool on Tuesday, May 10th.
His mother ran after the man and managed to save her little boy.
She then ran into a nearby shop with her son.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
They have called on witnesses to come forward to assist with their investigation.
The suspect has been described as an Asian man, aged in his early 30s. He has been described as 5″5 in height and is of stocky build.
Police stated, “This took place in the day on a relatively busy road and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.”
The investigators reassured parents that they are treating this case “extremely seriously”.
Police are particularly interested in speaking to anyone with dashcam and CCTV footage.
“We’ll act on all information provided and are absolutely determined to find this man to ensure that no such incidents happen again.”
“I’d also like to assure everyone that we take any reports of this nature extremely seriously.”
