The police officers have said that it’s a “miracle” that he’s alive.

He was left in wet and dirty clothes and had sustained some minor injuries. He was taken to hospital and found to be otherwise healthy.

“He suffered some minor scrapes and bruising but overall is in good health,” said Brenda Bassett of the sheriff’s office.

“For all of us at the sheriff’s office, this is what we call a miracle,” the office said in a statement.

“For the officers who were present for this event, it’s especially hard knowing what this small baby endured in the last 24 hours.”

The man, 32-year-old Francis Crowley, was arrested and is being held on a charge of criminal endangerment, according to The Guardian.
