It's official.
EastEnders' Alfie Moon is returning to Albert Square later this year for a (sure-to-be) drama-filled reunion with his estranged wife, Kat.
Shane Richie, who plays the long-standing soap favourite, is said to already have started filming scenes with his on-screen wife, Jessie Wallace.
According to
Metro, his return will play out on screen later this fall.
He previously appeared on the long-running soap back in May - when he met up with Kat's cousin, Hayley, who is carrying his child.

After a tense showdown between the pair, Alfie left London - and has yet to find out that Hayley is still pregnant with his baby, having decided against getting a termination.
As part of his return story, Alfie will get in touch with Kat and ask her for a favour.
But totally unknown to Kat, he's actually planning a huge surprise for her - and is in London, hoping to see her and reunite.
As the pair start to catch up, fans will have to wait and see if a reconciliation is possible - and how Alfie will react after finding out about Hayley's pregnancy (or if he will at all).
It's not clear who long Alfie will be around for this time, but since there's
so many secrets to uncover...well, it's not going to be smooth sailing.
