Adele pulls firework displays from concerts after debris falls on her son

Adele has pulled firework displays from her upcoming Australian tour dates after debris from the pyrotechnics fell into her four-year-old son’s eye.

The singer kicked off her tour of Oz on Tuesday but was horrified to discover that debris from a firework display ended up in her son Angelo’s eye during a dress rehearsal.

The Sun reports that the 28-year-old star has now pulled all the pyrotechnics from her upcoming tour dates as a result of the incident. Adele broke the news to fans attending her gig in Perth,

“We’ve been rehearsing here and up until last night we had fireworks for you. And obviously everyone likes a fireworks display. However, my son was watching in the crowd – there wasn’t much of a crowd, there was like five people.

A bit of debris…it wasn’t big…but a bit of s**t went in his eye and he was very upset, so I got rid of the fireworks.”

It sounds like fans were lucky to even see the singer at the concert, never mind the fireworks, as Adele confessed that she had almost done a runner as a result of stage fright,

“I’m doing as many shows as I can with the availability. I’m even doing stadiums. Do you know, one time I said I wouldn’t even play arenas? I said I’d only ever play theatres.

To be honest, about three hours ago I nearly tried to run away, so I don’t know how I managed to stay in the venue, to stay on the stage.”

To make matters worse, after the singer made it on to the stage, she was confronted by a cockroach mid-song,

“There’s a f**king cockroach on the stage. There’s a f**king fly in my tea and all.”

The star is set to continue her tour of Australia and New Zealand before undertaking four sold-out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium. Hopefully, the UK gigs will be cockroach-free.
