Aldi stores nationwide shut their doors yesterday afternoon in preparation for Storm Emma. The company had initially said that it expected all stores to open today at 5pm, after the weather had died down.
It has now given an update to say that only 14 of its 130 stores are reopening today, some having reopened at 3pm and others opening at 4pm and 5pm.
They are:
Athlone – 5pm
Ballybofey – 3pm
Buncrana – 3pm
Carrickmacross – 4pm
Carrick On Shannon – 3pm
Castlebar – 3pm
Claremorris – 3pm
Donegal Town – 3pm
Dungloe – 3pm
Letterkenny, Neil T Blaney Road – 3pm
Letterkenny, Ramelton Road – 3pm
Longford – 3pm
Roscommon – 5pm
Sligo – 3pm
All other stores will remain closed until Saturday, March 3 at 9am, or possibly later if the weather conditions have not improved.
We have reviewed the weather situation on a store by store basis across the country, assessing which stores it is now safe to reopen.
The following stores will reopen this afternoon:
