Aldi has recalled a popular product in Ireland over serious ‘safety risks’

Aldi has recalled a mini fryer due to “safety risks” it potentially poses.

The product in question is an Ambiano Mini Fryer with an Aldi product code of 95760.

There have been reports of the fryer catching fire, but no serious injuries have been caused.

The products affected have the barcodes 20072452, 20072476 and 20072469. All colours of the mini fryer are also a potential risk, “All 3 colour variants – stainless steel, red and grey.”

In a statement, Aldi Ireland said: “As a precautionary measure we have initiated a recall of this product due to a potential electrical fault. Please do not use this product.

“Customers are asked to return this product to the nearest store, where a full refund will be given.”

Aldi said that they have now removed the products from all Irish stores, and it is currently investigating the issue with the supplier of the fryer.
