The Amy Effect: Huberman Turns Newbridge Silver Into Gold With Her Own Jewellery Design

Amanda Cassidy

She is back… with a bangle!

Actress, mum of two, and all round legend, Amy Huberman, has teamed up with Newbridge Silverware to create her very own gold-plated jewellery line.

The ‘Luna’ collection includes bracelets, necklaces and earrings and marks a departure from the traditional silver associated with the brand.

It is all beautifully crafted and designed by Amy herself, who admits she has always had a passion for fashion;

“I LOVE jewellery and I have always had a thing for designing my own. I could literally spend hours browsing in the shops for the right necklace or bracelet. I am delighted I have had the opportunity to create this line and I am so thankful to Newbridge for sharing my vision.”

The pieces blend a mix of styles, from bold statement pieces to a more delicate, every-day look, which combines Amy’s playfulness, but with an unmistakable edge. We love the sun-inspired pendant and have our eye on the pretty gold bracelet with red, blue, green and yellow gem stones.

This isn’t the first time Amy has collaborated with Newbridge Silver; She was the face of the brand for three years running. The so-called ‘Amy effect’ helped boost sales especially with the younger female market. Billy and Sadie’s mum can now add jewellery designer to her resume, along with shoe designer, author and actress.

The 37-year-old is currently appearing in RTE comedy, Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope, and she will be channelling all things Good Wife when she hits our screens in Striking Out, a four-part legal drama which also stars Neill Morrissey from Men Behaving Badly.

It tells the story of a solicitor, Tara, played by Amy, who sets up her own practice after her fiancé and colleague cheats on her. It will air on RTE in the coming weeks.
