Andrew McGinley lost his three children in January 2020.

The public has rallied around grief-stricken father Andrew McGinley after he posted a photo of his “lonely” census form.

The dad posted a photo of his form featuring just his name under the ‘people present in the house’ section.

He also wrote “A very lonely census form” alongside the photo.

The dad’s followers sent loving messages after he posted the harrowing photo.

Maia Dunphy tweeted, “Oh Andrew. They may not be on that form, but they’re in so many of our hearts thanks to you. I hope you’ll write something about them in the time capsule. Thinking of you.”

Another said, “First census since my partner died as well, crazy how many avenues there are for grief to present itself and the momentual changes that can occur in years gone by, whether we welcome them or not.”

Andrew explained that census night floored him.

The dad added, “I’ve gotten through birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas… but it ends up being Census Day that floors me and beats the crap out of me.”

“Tomorrow is another day though and I will celebrate the lives of Conor, Darragh & Carla and remind you all again of their magnificence.”

Andrew lost his three children- Darragh, Conor, and Carla- at the beginning of 2020.

His children were suffocated by their mother Deirdre Morley.

The three children were all found dead at their home in Newcastle, Co. Dublin in January 2020.

However, Deirdre Morley was found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity.

She is currently being treated for her mental illnesses at the Central Mental Hospital in Dundrum.

It is believed she was suffering from severe psychotic depressive illness before she killed her three children.
