Andrew McGinley lost his three children in 2020
Andrew McGinley has honoured his three late children ahead of their fifth anniversary.
The heartbroken dad lost his three children, Conor, Darragh, and Carla on January 24th, 2020. Conor, Darragh, and Carla were tragically killed by their mother Deirdre Morley in January 2020.
In an interview with The Irish Mirror, Mr McGinley said it doesn’t feel like five years have passed since his children’s tragic passing.
He told the publication, “No it doesn’t feel like five years. The inquest still hasn’t happened and I’ve raised the question as to why and I haven’t got an answer back yet.
“My hope is that there would be an outcome from the inquest that would reduce, if not eliminate the risk to children.
“I hope would give more support for co-parents so a co-parent could be advised and supported as opposed to clinicians making decisions about children,” he shared.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Deirdre Morley was granted unsupervised days out from the Central Mental Hospital.
Deirdre Morley has been in custody at the Central Mental Hospital in Dublin since 2020.
The dad set up the Snowman for Carla competition to honour his three-year-old daughter Carla.
He runs the YouTube channel Conor’s Clips to honour his son Conor.
He also set up the charity As Darragh Did in honour of his son Darragh.
McGinley has raised over €300,000 for charity in his childrens’ memory.
