“The relationship is difficult”

Andrew McGinley has opened up about his wife Deirdre Morley.

The heartbroken father revealed he currently has no contact with her.

Morley killed their three children at their family home in January 2020.

Morley was found not guilty by reason of insanity of murdering their three children Conor (9), Darragh (7), and Carla (3).

The mum was suffering from a mental disorder at the time of their death. She is being treated at the Central Mental Hospital.

Speaking about their relationship, Andrew told RSVP, “As you can imagine, the relationship is difficult and complicated. And I have no contact at the moment. And I’m trying to.”

“But, that’s for me. I need to, I suppose work through that, but I need to work through that,” he added.

The dad continued to explain, “So I can’t really, I’m a bit lost. I am in no contact at the moment.”

The dad-of-three was recently targeted by a cruel troll on Twitter.

They told him: “You should have looked after your wife.”

Andrew replied to the vile comment and was praised by his followers for having the strength to do so.

The dad wrote, “I did Aine but she was in professional mental health care and we had 3 kids that needed parenting too.”

“With no help, support, or info from the clinicians treating her, we thought my focus should be on them. I don’t recall you being part of those discussions between my wife and I,” he stressed.

Andrew added, “My wife and I discussed her illness and agreed that I should focus on the kids as she was being treated professionally.

Andrew stressed that his current focus is to continue honouring his three children. His focus is to achieve the wishes of his three children Conor, Darragh and Carla.

He is hoping to launch a charity in the future.
