As any mother says, time sure does fly
Anna Geary seems to be feeling it as she can’t believe that her baby boy, Ronan, is already five months old.
It’s almost as if as soon as you have a baby time just gets its skates on and decides to speed up.
Posting a series of images of her little boy, Anna marked her little boy’s first festive season and shared her hopes for the year ahead.
Captioning her snaps, she wrote: “Five months today. Where does time go? Your laughter and smiles are good for the soul.
“With all of the talk today of New Year’s resolutions, improvements, changes, ‘hitting the ground running’ and all the pressures that often come with that, maybe for you, 2024 will be about slowing down.
“Maybe it’ll be about taking time to find things that make you laugh and smile and living more for those moments.
“Life can be tough, so we need reasons to smile. Sometimes goals can wait. It’s a long year ahead xxx,” she concluded.
It’s been a tough holiday season for Anna and her family as she lost her brother, Thomas, just before Christmas.
Despite the pain she must be feeling, the 36-year-old has been using her platform to encourage other people going through loss to reach out for help if they need it.
Posting a picture as she enjoyed a walk with her family, Anna wrote: “Just remember, it’s okay if you aren’t feeling Christmas this year.
“Your heart might be heavy… maybe it’s grief, or upset about what’s going on in the world. Maybe it’s a worry about a family member, or about money.
“You don’t need to explain yourself, just find ways to make it through. If it’s getting too much, confide in one person. I try to find little pockets of joy in the day.
“A walk in the fresh air, a hot shower, a fresh coffee,” she concluded.
