Anne Hathaway reveals the very relatable symptom she’s dealing with during third pregnancy

The Hollywood actress appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her latest movie, Verity.

The pair discussed the moment she found out she was expecting and Hathaway said: "I found out I was pregnant like two and a half weeks before The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour kicked off. And I was just like 'How is that going to work?'"

She said her main pregnancy symptom with her first pregnancy was fatigue, but that this time around she has a very powerful sense of smell.

"I got really lucky," she said. "You know, my main symptom during my first pregnancy was fatigue, and that didn't happen this time. This time my main symptom was, well acne, but I had the craziest sense of smell."

A member of the audience could be heard gasping, and Hathaway turned to her and said: "Yes! You Know!"

The actress went on to tell Fallon that her heightened sense of smell meant that she could "smell time".

"You don't just smell this summer, you smell all of them. I went back to the 80s. There were many strikes there."

Hathaway then described the strong smells she encountered on press tours and said: "You're going in and out of hotels in the back-ways, but you pass so many garbage bins, and you go through so many kitchens. And then you go into elevators and you smell every single room service order."

She also said "the perfume was really intense because people I love, they came up to be like, 'Oh my god! Hi! Good to see you!' and you're like 'I love you, but eurrghhh'".

Hathaway said her first trimester goal was "not to dry heave in public," and now in her third trimester, her new goal is to "not waddle in public".
